Also, congratulations to Sean Wilson and George Moriarity who won their divisions at the in-house tournament. Each guy put on a nice display of jiu-jitsu for everyone and earned themselves a new GI!

We've had a lot going on at Precision since the last news update. First of all, congratulations to everyone who has been promoted. Most of you have been training hard and showing the dedication necessary to get to the next level...keep up the good work! Congratulations is also in order for Rob Geenidge, George Moriarity, Mark Stevens and Pat "Milkman" O'Connell. These guys put their skills on the line recently at the Grappler's Quest and NAGA. Rob brought home a bronze medal, George brought home 2 championship belts and Milkman was able to bring home a silver and bronze medal for his efforts this past weekend. Congrats guys! Hopefully we will have a nice group of people who will be attending the RGDA Association Tournament this weekend in NJ. It's an in-house tournament in which we were invited to by our friend Rosendo Diaz. It's a great way top show support to other teams in the area who share the same passion as us! So let's get a good turnout on Sunday and some much needed tournament experience. Anyone attending this weekend should meet at the gym on Sunday at 8:00am to carpool. Good luck!
Finally, it's that time of year again! The holidays snuck up on us and smacked us in the face (kinda the same way the Lawlor hit Kaplan on last night's Ultimate Fighter...haha). Our Annual Christmas Party will be held on December 18th at 6:00pm. As always there will be plenty of food and beverages. The 2nd Annual In-House Tournament will also be held that day. If enough people sign-up, we will have a heavyweight and a lightweight divison with the winner of each receiving a GI of their choice! Hope to see everyone there!
We would also like to wish Kenny "KenFlo" Florian the best of luck this weekend in his quest for the UFC lightweight belt. He will be facing off against a tough Joe Stevenson at UFC 91.
October 14, 2008
Thank you to those who came out for the seminar on Saturday. As always, it was a great day of training. Thanks to UFC fighter Kurt "Batman" Pellegrino and his sidekick K-Rod for coming down and dropping some knowledge on us...it's always a pleasure hosting the Point Pleasant crew. Be on the lookout for more seminars in the near future from our friend Jon Trenge and also from Bill Racich (that's right, Henry's uncle and the head wrestling coach at Ursinus College).
September 27, 2008
The new date for Kurt's seminar is Sunday, October 12th from 12-2pm. The cost is $40 and as always, refreshments will be provided (before the Eagles put the stamp on the 49ers)! Hope to see everyone there!
September 20, 2008
Todays seminar with Kurt has been postponed! We will reschedule it for a more convenient time in the next few weeks...details for the new date and time, along with a sign-up sheet, will be available at the school. Sorry to those who were planning on coming today. (although the real reason is that Jerome "oplata" Clark could not be here, so blame him..haha)
September 9, 2008
Huge congratulations to Kurt "Batman" Pellegrino on winning UFC's fight of the night against a very tough Thiago Tavares! Kurt and I arrived home Sunday from a succesful trip to Atlanta, where he dominated a game Tavares and won a unamious decision! Huge acclaimations go out to fellow UFC fighter Kenny "KenFlo" Florian and boxing coaches Mickey Red and Nettles Nasser for their support and wisdom before and during the fight...it was a great behind the scenes team effort and obviously a great individual performance by Kurt.
Also, we're happy to report that Batman is back home permanently in Point Pleasant, NJ and training hard with his hometown boys and will be here at Precision JJ on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 12-2pm for a BJJ/MMA seminar. The cost is $40 and refreshments will be provided...so plan on being there!
August 22, 2008

August 11, 2008
Big thanks to John Rallo and company for having me down to the new Ground Control facility in Baltimore this past weekend. We had a great turnout and hopefully his guys enjoyed some of my favorite gi and no-gi techniques. If anyone is in the Baltimore area, you should definitely check out GROUND CONTROL Their new facility is top notch and Big John is doing am excellent job preparing his guys for BJJ, sub grappling and MMA!
Also want to let everyone know to tune into ESPN next Friday, August 22 to watch "Lightning" Harry Joe Yorgey fight for the IBF North American Junior Middleweight Title. He's been training hard with boxing coach Henry Racich here at Precision and also with Jeff Morgan over at the Summit Sports Training Center. Good luck Harry and we can't wait for you to bring home the title!
Lets not forget to also tune into UFC 89 on PPV September 6 to cheer on my good friend and training partner Kurt "Batman" Pellegrino. I will be helping him out in Atlanta for his comeback fight against the tough Thiago Tavares. Kurt will no doubt be prepared to add another win to his UFC record!
July 7, 2008
I know it's a little late...but a huge congrats to all the guys who competed in last weeks Grappler's Quest! Pat, George, Mikey, Jerome and Rob all suited up in the Gi to test out their skills. All the guys put on great performances with George getting the Gold on Saturday and Jerome getting the Gold on Sunday! Sunday also proved to be a great day for Rob G. who brought home the Silver while putting on great display of jiu-jitsu. He went 4-1 for the day, with 3 submissions and a narrow point loss to a div 1 wrestler. Great job guys!

February 11, 2008
Tonight's team practice/open mat is cancelled.
The Jon Trenge seminar last Saturday was a great success. Thanks to everyone who came out to learn from one of the best wrestlers in the country. We are looking to have him back again real soon, so be sure to check back for dates and times.
Also, big congrats to Jerome Clark for going out to the NJGC tournament this past weekend in Cherry Hill as the sole representative for Precision. Jerome took 3rd in no-gi competition, and then bounced back with the gi by submitting 3 guys on his way to taking 2nd place. Great job by Jerome, in what was his first tournament...look out heavyweights!
Precision came out on top again last Thursday evening when Jeff Morgan won his first "toughman rules" boxing match by referee stoppage in the 4th round of a scheduled 3-round fight. Jeff fought three hard 1-minute rounds and was called back for a 4th where he proceeded to land several unanswered shots to his opponent's head, which forced the ref to jump in and stop the fight. Congrats Jeff!
January 29, 2008
Don't forget that Jon Trenge will be here on Saturday, February 2 to teach a wrestling seminar. There are still spots left so make sure you
sign up at the academy as soon as possible. The time is still to be determined, but it looks like a 10-11am start time...please check back for more information!
January 24, 2008

January 17, 2008

Congratulations to Rob Radswillas and Mike Wheeler on their great performances last weekend. Mike entered his first BJJ tournament and came home with the Gold and Rob, despite a last minute opponent change, fought a hard 3-round battle and showed great composure on the ground, but ended up losing a close decision...great job guys!
December 14, 2007

December 9, 2007

December 8, 2007
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip...
Guys...I am writing this today to let everyone know why Fabio Leopoldo had to bail on today’s seminar. There are always two sides to a story, so here is mine. The reason Precision JJ exists today is because of my passion for training, especially in a relaxed and comfortable environment. BJJ is a big business these days, and as a result schools have changed their structure and environment. Two years ago, the place where I used to hang my hat was one of those schools. After seeing some good friends come and go over the years, I chose to walk away from an environment which I thought wasn't conducive to how I spend my free time. With no ill will or hard feelings towards anyone, I left to open a school that would embrace a vibe and training atmosphere that suited my needs and the needs of those who share that same passion. Seems ok, right? Unfortunately, some of the people that I left behind feel the need to justify their lonely existence by policing who I interact with...and this time, it was Fabio and you guys who have been affected. For those who truly know me, you know that I am a good, hard working guy who is always willing to lend a hand and support my friends. It is truly unfortunate that people are so wrapped up with their own insecurities that they feel the need to try and bring us down. What are they afraid of? Who knows...maybe the truth?
My apologies to everyone who signed up for today's seminar. Today’s training is still a go...see everyone on the mats!
December 6, 2007

Jiu-Jitsu Champion Fabio Leopoldo's seminar! It will be held at the academy from 12-2pm. All regularly

great techiques. We'll cover gi, no-gi and some MMA. Food and BEvERages will be provided after the seminar!
Also, we are pleased to announce the date of the first annual Precision JJ Christmas Party! It will be held on Thursday, December 20th. This party is open to all students as well as their family and friends. There will be open mat from 6-7pm and food and beverages will again be provided, so come on out and celebrate!

Last night was a great night of training at Precision...thanks to my man Kurt "Batman" Pellegrino for
coming out and dropping some knowledge. Kurt and I have been long time friends and training partners and it
was amazing to have him back in the area teaching and training. Those of you who attended
class got to see first hand how skilled Kurt is in striking, sport bjj, no-gi, wrestling,
and mma...there wasn't anything that Kurt didn't have an answer for and it was great to be on the mat
with him once again. Pics from last night should be up soon.
Just another reminder that there will be no class tonight or tomorrow...due to the holiday.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
November 20, 2007

easier. Good luck and kick some ass!
